Murals

Michael William Kirby has been working in the public art realm for 20 years. He has studied various mural techniques at Universities and studios in Italy, Mexico and the United States. He is a master in the various mediums which include marouflage, alfanic urethanes, oils, acrylic, silicons, tempora, fresco (painting on wet plaster) and others. He is one of a hand full of artists that understand the techniques of fresco in the United States. He has also developed other techniques in fiber cements that allow his work to be created in studio and transported.

Michael Kirby has been commissioned by numerous organizations, foundations and museums to create permanent public art pieces. He has also been hired to design and build theatrical sets. The majority of his work resides in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States. Other locations where Mr. Kirby's work resides is in Mexico, Italy, Guatemala, Florida Keys, and other locations around the world.
